With Intel being stuck on 14nm for so long, lately they have been subject of quite a lot of fun and memes. But It doesnt change the fact that Intel’s 10th Gen processors are not any slouch either, when it comes to performance. As the brand spanking new Intel 11th gen CPUs arrive,10th generation Intel Cpus still has a lot of stock in local shops all around Bangladesh and due to the pricing issue with AMD Processors,In some cases Intel’s 10th gen offerings are now in some cases a better offering than amd’s competitive ones.
Such an example would be the Core I9 10850k.It Packs 10 Cores & 20 Threads in a 14nm++++ architecture. With Price ranging from 35000-38000BDT in current Market,The Offering is actually very good as I9 10850k is not at all far behind from its own big brother, the i9 10900k(just about couple hundred mhz slower at stock clock speeds). The performance is therefore up with the best of what intels offering currently.
To understand the I9 10850k’s value potential,Let's take a look at the performance of this CPU with some of the competitors.
Firstly,Let's take a look at its comparison vs the offering from RED team’s offering for the similar price range. The price of AMD Ryzen 5 5600X is currently around 33500BDT & for the Ryzen 7 5800X its around 43,500BDT(Source-startech.com.bd),Also Included in the graph is Intel's very own new 11th gen i7 11700k,Which is currently available at Binary Logic for 3800BDT,so same price as the i9 10850k
Note,The I9 10850k is totally similar in performance to i9 10900k,so the value of I9 10900k is the real representation of I9 10850k.

First,Lets start of with gaming. As you can see from the Gaming Benchmarks,I9 10850k Is Similar in performance and in some cases better than Both Intel’s i7 11700k,and the Ryzen Counterparts. In case of productivity,The i9 10850k is way ahead of 11700k and the R5 5600x,matching the 5800x in most of the tests.
So what Can We understand from these Graphs?
Well,Firstly,I9 10850k is still a very Strong Competitor, especially at the current price point. It offers better overall performance than the Ryzen 5 5600X and the i7 11700k,While keeping it up with the more expensive Ryzen 7 5800x.
However,There's a one big tradeoff for the intel Cpus.In order to unlock the full potential from these CPU’s,you will need a Z490/590 Chipset motherboard with pretty beefy VRM which Will wind up costing you more,as In AMD you can buy a pretty good B550 Motherboard for quite affordable price. The minimum I would Suggest you go for with these Intel CPU’s is this MSI MPG Z490 Gaming Plus,Which goes for around 17000BDT.
There’s also another tradeoff. The i9 10850k does not support PCI-E 4th gen.So you will have to stick with older 3rd gen PCI-E bandwidth,as only 11th gen CPU’s will support it.otherwise AMD Is your better bet.
All of these AMD/Intel CPU’s including the i9 10850k will require pretty hefty cooling.A good high quality Liquid Cooler like the Cooler Master Master Liquid 360mm will be one of my top recommendations.
Now,Time for the conclusion.
I personally think the i9 10850k its way more competitive than the I7 11700k and for the foreseeable future I think if you plan to buy Intel CPU’s,Buying I9 10850k is better than buying 11700k and also in some cases, worth to consider even against RED teams bangning offerings .
Sure The motherboard cost is a bit high,You will have to Give up Pci-e 4th gen speeds. But for raw computing power,The i9 10850k is a beast at this price point and the shortcomings are justified with its pricing being almost similar to Ryzen 5 5600x.Keep in mind,a good quality b550 motherboard for the Ryzen 5 5600x such as the B550M Mortar would Cost you around 16000BDT,While you can go cheap with B450 but you won't get the advantage of pcie gen 4 then.
That’s it for today.Let us know your thoughts on the I9 10850k and what You think of it.Peace!
